Atlantic Sun Airways' AI Traffic is released!

Hello, welcome to Atlantic Sun Airways. To add to the fun of flying for our virtual airline, we've created an AI fleet, just like those default AI aircraft you see moving and flying around in Flight Simulator. Our AI aircraft follow the routes in our flight schedules to add to the realism.

You can download the AI Fleet limited edition commemorative poster here. (512kb)

I would also encourage you to go to Project AI, a wonderful site dedicated to adding realistic airlines to Flight Simulator.
AI FLEET

First, download the entire AI fleet from our servers. I've separated them by their respective categories to allow for easy downloading.

Cat A :- ERJ-135, CRJ-200ER, ATR-72, Avro RJ-85
Cat B :- A319, B717-200, MD-80, B737-800
Cat C :- B757-200, A330-300, B777-300, B747-400

Unzip all these files using Winzip and unzip to the aircraft folder in your respective FS version. The result should be like this :-

Now that you've got the AI fleet downloaded, we need a program to add flightplans to Flight Simulator. Flight sim developers always have the respect of the entire flight sim community and Mr Lee Swordy is no different. Traffic Tools is just one of the programs that he has created to make Flight Simulator better.
TRAFFIC TOOLS

Download Traffic Tools 2.01 from here. Unzip Traffic Tools to C:\My Documents\ttools201. Once unzipped, run Ttools.exe. Click on traffic.bgl (FS2002) or Traffic030528.bgl (FS2004) and the Decompile button will be activated. Click on Decompile.

Three files will be created -- airports.txt, aircraft.txt and flightplans.txt (FS2002). FS2004 files as shown below.

Next, we will download the text to be added in.

Aircraft
Airports
Flightplans

Unzip these 3 files and copy them (asaaiac.txt, asaaiapt.txt and asafltplans.txt) to C:\My Documents\ttools201.

Navigate to C:\My Documents\ttools201 and you will see the 6 text files.

Open asaaiac.txt and aircraft.txt (FS2002) or Aircraft030528.txt (FS2004) using Notepad or Wordpad. Copy all the text from asaaiac.txt and paste at the end of aircraft.txt or Aircraft030528.txt. Save.

Open asaaiapt.txt and airports.txt (FS2002) or Airports030528.txt (FS2004). Copy all the text from asaaiapt.txt and paste at the end of airports.txt or Airports030528.txt. Save.

Open asafltplans.txt and flightplans.txt (FS2002) or Flightplans030528.txt (FS2004). Copy all the text from asafltplans.txt and paste at the end of flightplans.txt or Flightplans030528.txt. Save.
COMPILING

Run TTools again. Check Default Source Folder and the corresponding FS version's Traffic Folder.

Highlight the 3 text files and click on Compile. Wait for a few minutes until you see the green words at the bottom -- Compile of Traffic030528.bgl completed.

Congratulations! Start Flight Simulator and enjoy the company of your fellow (albeit computerised) Atlantic Sun Airways pilots.

The AI fleet is equally divided into 3 percentage values, 20%, 30% and 50%. If you have a low end computer, set AI Traffic to 20% to see a third of all flights. Similarly, 30% for two-thirds and 50% for all the flights if you have a fast computer.

I would also encourage you to install the Atlantic Sun Airways ATC Voicepack. You will then hear the FS ATC call out to all Atlantic Sun aircraft by our airline's callsign and flight number. A must for all Atlantic Sun pilots!

Enjoy!
